SIX: tHE royal gallery

Our new special exhibit, SIX: THE ROYAL GALLERY created exclusively for the Museum of Broadway, invites fans to experience five hundred years of history over throne through SIX’s boldly revisionist narrative while enjoying Tony Award®-winning costumes and set installations, fan art, listening stations (the only cast recording ever made on a Broadway opening night), and one-of-a-kind photo ops, including the chance to sit on the SIX throne (the only place you can sit in the SIX Royal throne and take a selfie.) It’s a unique opportunity to be immersed in the art and fun of SIX!
Al Hirschfeld: Retrospective.
Our Special Exhibit is currently dedicated to the work of Al Hirschfeld and runs through June 21st. We carry an exclusive line of Hirschfeld merchandise and Hirschfeld prints in our lobby gift store. Our next exhibit, ALL THAT JAZZ: The Legacy of Chicago The Musical, will open on June 30th!
Had a great time today at the Museum of Broadway! I love watching Broadway shows and this museum gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in! They have the original costumes, a complete backstage experience, miniature 360 degrees version of the Wicked theatre including behind the scenes!
Loved it! It was very interactive and there was so much to look at. The museum staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I especially enjoyed the portion that took you "backstage" of a show. I went at 10 am on a Wednesday and had the place almost completely to myself.
This place was so cool! It's very informative, and it's set up VERY well. There are artifacts from so many Broadway shows, every employee that I spoke with was very knowledgeable, and there are even interactive exhibits (and tons of photo ops) !I highly recommend this place if you're at all interested in Broadway!
So much fun and a great time walking through and learning about Broadway's past and present. They have free lockers (at least when I went) put your coat and bags away and enjoy. I didn't not and had to put them down constantly to take photos and such.
If you are a fan of musicals, on Broadway, on film, you have got to go to the Museum of Broadway!! Sooooo much cool info set up in such a fun way spanning decades of musical history.
An absolute MUST DO for any Broadway fan. Costumes and memorabilia as well as a peek backstage as to what goes in to putting on a show.
The history from the beginning until today! A must see in NYC! If you like theatre and Broadway you can't miss it. The exhibits are incredible from West Side Story, Rent, Company, Hello Dolly and well as the writers and composers. Can't wait to go back.
