Karl is a video creator and editor in Los Angeles, California. In 2021 he was the video editor for UCLA’s Musical Theater virtual presentation of “Songs from HAIR.” In July of 2020, Karl was the video editor for the music video “Soul of The Nation,” featuring numerous Broadway performers. In the Spring of 2021, Karl was one of the many video editors for The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts event I'm Still Here: A Virtual Benefit for the Billy Rose Theatre Division. He has also created numerous music videos for Bruce Kimmel’s Kritzerland at Home series.
In addition to his video work, Karl is a photographer specializing in sports and entertainment. He is the photographer for The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. He has photographed Scott Coulter’s Spot-On Entertainment concerts with The Phoenix Symphony, “Blockbuster Broadway” with The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, as well as at the Rady Shell in San Diego.
Karl is a former Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff, was a Police and Medical Technical Advisor for film and television, and is married to Broadway, TV and Film Actress, Kerry O’Malley.
